The inaccurate Super-8 cost comparison to 16mm that has been posted on Brantley's forum by Nigel is of concern to me because the forum is primarily about Super-8mm filmmaking.
If Brantley's forum were titled "Mike's view of the World", then I wouldn't care, but it doesn't say that.
Nigel made a mistake. I really don't care that Nigel made a mistake. What I do care about is his complete lack of responsibility or willingness to clarify what was probably an honest mistake.
I guess correcting information on a forum that claims to offer "intelligent" Super-8 information isn't an intelligent thing to do. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
Now, there really is no point in continuing this is it? We all know what the point is, and that the error probably won't be corrected.

Imo, this whole thread is about Alex looking clever at Nigel's expense.

To be honest I am surprised it has taken him this long to make such claims.
Look at the numbers--I will stand behind them. You buy film by the foot not by time. So in comaparing the same length of film is quite accurate. It is an examination of actual costs not perceived value.
